A GRASPxELS with Depth First Search Split Procedure for the HVRP

چکیده
Split procedures have been proved to be efficient within global framework optimization for routing problems by splitting giant tour into trips. This is done by generating optimal shortest path within an auxiliary graph built from the giant tour. An efficient application has been introduced for the first time by Lacomme et al. (2001) within a metaheuristic approach to solve the Capacitated Arc Routing Problem (CARP) and second for the Vehicle Routing Problem (VRP) by Prins (2004). In a further step, the Split procedure embedded in metaheuristics has been extended to address more complex routing problems thanks to a heuristic splitting of the giant tour using the generation of labels on the nodes of the auxiliary graph linked to resource management. Lately, Duhamel et al. (2010) defined a new Split family based on a depth first search approach during labels generation in graph. The efficiency of the new split method has been first evaluated in location routing problem with a GRASP metaheuristic. Duhamel et al. (2010) provided full numerical experiments on this topic. This research report focuses on the application of Depth First Search Split strategy for Heterogeneous VRP (HVRP) trying to extend the Split proposals introduced on the LRP to a new routing problem. The numerical experiments use classical HVRP instances and a set of new real life instances matching to the French districts.

The Heterogeneous Fleet Vehicle Routing Problem (HVRP) is a variant of the classical Vehicle Routing Problem in which customers are served by a heterogeneous #eet of vehicles with various capacities, "xed costs, and variable costs. This article describes a tabu search heuristic for the HVRP. On a set of benchmark instances, it consistently produces high-quality solutions, including several new ...

This paper is concerned with the economical comparison between two commonly used configurations for double layer grids and determining their optimum span-depth ratio. Two ranges of spans as small and big sizes with certain bays of equal length in two directions and various types of element grouping are considered for each type of square grids. In order to carry out a precise comparison between ...

متن کاملDepth-first search in split-by-edges trees
Abstract A split-by-edges tree of a graph G is a binary tree T where the root = V(G), every leaf is an independent set in G, and for every other node N in T with children L and R there is an edge uv in G such that u and v are in N, L = N – v and R = N – u. Every maximum independent set in G is in the same layer M, which is guarantied to be found in a layer by layer search of T. Every depth-firs...

Greedy randomize adaptive search procedure is one of the repetitive meta-heuristic to solve combinatorial problem. In this procedure, each repetition includes two, construction and local search phase. A high quality feasible primitive answer is made in construction phase and is improved in the second phase with local search. The best answer result of iterations, declare as output. In this stu...
